Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Deliver robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration, and AWS services to develop solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and optimize system performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy and mentor members of the engineering community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, 3+ years with databases and cloud technologies, and experience with frontend frameworks, APIs, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, and distributed systems.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering efforts, establishing coding standards and design patterns, and using AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots.
