Responsibilities
- Design and build robust, scalable APIs and backend services using Python with Django or FastAPI.
- Own the backend architecture of core product features, including data modeling and deployment.
- Optimize SQL, NoSQL, and vector-store database performance for speed, reliability, and AI readiness.
- Develop backend services integrating LLM and NLP capabilities into the product.
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams through reliable API contracts.
- Maintain engineering standards through code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend development experience with strong Python skills.
- Production experience with Django or FastAPI.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and infrastructure fundamentals.
- Experience with relational, document-based, or vector databases is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, API design, and software engineering principles.
- Experience or genuine interest in ML, NLP, and LLM integrations is preferred.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude, or similar AI developer tools is preferred.
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach with the ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and follow through.
