Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Supply Chain Management extensions and customizations using X++.
- Develop and support integrations between D365FO and external systems using APIs, Azure integration services, data entities, and middleware platforms.
- Build and maintain supporting .NET-based components and services hosted on Microsoft Azure.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs in collaboration with solution architects, technical leads, functional consultants, and business analysts.
- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks across D365FO application logic, batch processing, integrations, databases, and SQL execution.
- Participate in unit, integration, regression, performance, and bug-fixing activities using tools such as RSAT and JMeter.
- Contribute to Azure DevOps source control, code reviews, build and release pipelines, branching, and deployment activities.
- Support go-live, hypercare, production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and continuous optimization.
- Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with global IT teams and implementation partners.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer or developer in enterprise application environments, with hands-on D365FO/SCM and/or .NET development experience.
- Strong experience developing D365FO solutions with X++, extensions, data entities, workflows, and security frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of .NET technologies, including C#, REST APIs, and services, plus Microsoft Azure services used for enterprise integrations.
- Strong SQL Server knowledge, including query analysis, indexing, execution plans, and performance tuning for ERP-scale databases.
- Practical experience with system integrations, data migration concepts, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Git and Azure DevOps, including version control, branching strategies, build and release pipelines, and work item tracking.
- Knowledge of JMeter or comparable performance testing tools is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Fabric from a technical integration or extension perspective is advantageous.
- Azure cloud administration and AKS/Kubernetes skills are a plus.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent written and spoken English, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in agile or hybrid delivery models with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
