Responsibilities
- Develop state-of-the-art, highly realistic autonomous-vehicle simulations using foundation models
- Collaborate with Waymo Oxford teams to use large models to improve simulation realism
- Design experiments that advance autonomous-vehicle simulations
- Develop metrics to measure the realism of simulated worlds
- Train and evaluate large models and integrate them into the simulator and downstream applications
- Help hire research engineers from diverse backgrounds
- Productionize research ideas as part of a collaborative research engineering team
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in applied deep learning
- 4+ years of coding and design experience
- Experience solving complex production problems with state-of-the-art machine learning techniques
- Experience taking research into production
- Expertise in data analysis or data science
