Base Salary

$156k - $251k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build scalable full-stack web applications for Braze’s Cloud Data Ingestion and Data Transformation platforms.
  • Own features end-to-end, with a primary focus on backend systems and regular delivery of frontend experiences.
  • Drive architectural decisions and contribute to technical strategy.
  • Develop systems involving automated data pipelines, asynchronous processing, and ETL.
  • Improve the comprehensiveness and usability of data ingestion and transformation systems that process trillions of data points annually.
  • Collaborate in an agile team environment to deliver high-quality software for customers.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of full-stack development experience focused on scalable web applications.
  • Experience as a technical leader with a track record of driving architectural decisions and contributing to technical strategy.
  • Strong understanding of software design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills and experience working in an agile team environment.
  • Willingness to learn the technologies needed to deliver customer requirements.
  • Preferred experience building software at scale and handling high volumes of data and traffic.
  • Preferred experience building automated data pipelines, asynchronous processing, or ETL applications using Kafka, Airflow, Sidekiq, SQS, or RabbitMQ.
  • Preferred experience with Python/Django, React, Ruby on Rails, Snowflake, microservice architecture, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with modern data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics.
