Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB.
- Review customer architectures and recommend optimization and modernization strategies.
- Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation for complex opportunities.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, and multi-threaded account strategies.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and drive customer success and satisfaction.
- Relay field feedback to product teams and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
- Maintain product and industry knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in pre-sales with enterprise software.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Ideally 8–11 years of related customer-facing experience.
- Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ability to review complex application architectures and provide technology guidance to customers.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for engaging technical and business leadership.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and coordinate internal and ecosystem resources around account plans.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes selling databases, deploying applications with major cloud providers, database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, MongoDB certification, or cloud provider certification.
- Understanding of sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
