Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap for areas of responsibility, including reliability, scalability, security, technical debt, and long-term system health.
- Design and implement robust backend systems with clean APIs and interfaces that abstract internal complexity.
- Architect and build highly scalable microservices and integrate with risk and mitigation systems to support regulatory compliance.
- Lead technical delivery of large-scale, organizationally complex projects and resolve cross-team blockers.
- Identify and solve impactful problems across the team and organization while making data-driven prioritization decisions.
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals that improve verification processes and customer and business outcomes.
- Mentor engineers, share best practices, conduct rigorous code reviews, and help foster a high-performing engineering environment.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience working with any programming language, asynchronous message queues, and highly scalable microservices.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization, schema design, and data lifecycle management for sensitive information.
- Strong product mindset and commitment to customer experience and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems using a holistic view of customer and business impact.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining technical and architectural concepts to product managers, designers, and engineering teams.
- Commitment to clean, testable, maintainable, and highly performant code and strong coding practices.
- Proven ability to lead technical delivery for large-scale, organizationally complex projects and anticipate organizational blockers.
