Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and further develop OpenStack-based network services on the public cloud platform.
- Develop physical and virtual network architecture while incorporating IT security considerations.
- Plan and drive infrastructure automation using common automation frameworks.
- Design and develop platform and software-as-a-service features.
- Advise management on technology decisions and act as a trusted advisor for OpenStack-based public cloud technology.
- Collaborate with internal specialists, manufacturers, and other Deutsche Telekom teams.
- Prepare presentation materials, mentor colleagues, and support team members.
- Perform hands-on work through cloud platform consoles to validate architectural decisions.
Requirements
- Completed studies in a technical, engineering, or scientific subject, or comparable professional training.
- At least 11 years of professional IT experience focused on modern cloud technologies.
- Very good knowledge of software, cloud, and container architectures.
- Experience with infrastructure automation.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux, system tools, and network-related services.
- Strong customer orientation, mentoring and presentation skills, and the ability to assess technical solutions and develop creative approaches.
- Knowledge of agile development processes.
- OpenStack and programming experience in open-source projects are advantageous.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
