Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users to define new application requirements.
- Develop, test, and maintain clean, performant code for client applications.
- Support project delivery alongside project managers and senior engineers.
- Work with the team to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
- Analyze large-scale time-series data and generate actionable reports.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous learning.
- Communicate effectively with clients and work independently and collaboratively.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on kdb+ development experience.
- Solid understanding of the q language and time-series data structures.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and the SDLC.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Capital markets or investment banking experience is advantageous.
- Bonus skills include experience with Claude, Co-Pilot, Python, AWS, GCP, Azure, or other time-series databases, plus exposure to project leadership, people management, internal tools, documentation, or community initiatives.
