Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic Compliance and Supervision technology initiatives.
- Design, develop, deliver, and provide operational support for regulatory compliance, surveillance, supervision, and control-oversight solutions.
- Build and support API-first, event-driven, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Integrate vendor platforms, proprietary systems, and enterprise data services.
- Design for scalability, resiliency, maintainability, security, auditability, traceability, entitlement controls, evidencing, and monitoring.
- Partner with product, architecture, infrastructure, security, vendors, Compliance, Risk, Data, and Business stakeholders.
- Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, remediation programs, and control assessments.
- Work across multiple priorities and collaborate across time zones and locations.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Java development experience; JDK 17+ is preferred.
- Experience building REST or GraphQL APIs using Spring Boot or a similar framework.
- Strong SQL experience with a relational database management system.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience with Agile delivery, backlog execution, dependencies, continuous improvement, and outcomes.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Relevant technology delivery and software engineering experience.
- Preferred experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployment.
- Preferred experience with Apache Solr, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Terraform, SonarQube, or Veracode.
- Preferred experience with big data technologies, data analytics, AI, or workflow engines such as Camunda, Activiti, or jBPM.
- Experience in highly regulated financial services and knowledge of trade surveillance, market abuse monitoring, global markets, or trading lifecycle processes are preferred.
