Responsibilities
- Develop complex software from functional specifications and translate requirements into design specifications.
- Conduct complex peer code reviews and assess the broader business and technical impact of software changes.
- Create and apply automated and unit tests and contribute to delivery pipelines covering testing, security, and performance standards.
- Investigate and resolve complex production escalations and software defects while improving application stability and compliance.
- Lead engineering standards and processes for planning, estimation, solution demonstrations, reviews, and implementation design.
- Mentor, coach, train, and provide constructive feedback to engineering team members.
- Recommend internal process improvements and contribute to product documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 6–10 years of software engineering experience.
- Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles applied to complex production-grade systems.
- Significant experience with one or more of Java, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience developing in Windows or Linux environments using open source tools and platforms.
- Experience with build environments, delivery pipelines, continuous software delivery, test automation, continuous integration tools, and software application testing methodologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional consensus-building skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop engineering talent and translate strategic goals into technical implementations.
- Willingness to support up to 10% travel and collaborate across distributed teams and time zones.
