Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap for assigned areas, including technical debt, reliability, scalability, and security improvements.
- Design and implement robust backend systems with clean APIs and interfaces.
- Architect and build highly scalable microservice systems.
- Drive integrations with risk and mitigation systems to support regulatory compliance.
- Identify and solve impactful problems within the team and across the organization.
- Lead technical delivery for large-scale, organizationally complex projects and anticipate organizational blockers.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable, and high-performance code and participate in rigorous code reviews.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with Java 8+, Spring, asynchronous message queues, and highly scalable microservices.
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ and architecting scalable backend systems.
- Strong product mindset and commitment to customer experience and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex, ambiguous problems with a holistic view of customer and business impact.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining technical and architectural concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience leading large-scale, organizationally complex technical projects.
- Extensive experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization, schema design, and sensitive-data lifecycle management.
