Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of full-stack features using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Angular.
- Build resilient services and integrations, including Kafka producers and consumers and downstream dependencies.
- Improve engineering quality through code reviews, automation, test strategy, and CI/CD improvements.
- Improve production readiness through monitoring, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and incident reduction.
- Use and critically validate enterprise-authorized AI coding and software development tools.
- Mentor engineers and standardize engineering best practices across the squad.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Strong Java, Spring Boot, and React/Angular full-stack delivery experience.
- Experience developing Kafka producers and consumers in Java.
- Experience with SQL databases such as Aurora PostgreSQL, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- NoSQL experience with Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Elastic Search, including modeling and performance work.
- Hands-on Cloud Foundry or AWS experience and experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with TDD, automation, design and code reviews, engineering mentorship, and resilient highly available architectures.
- Experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, or Grafana for observability and monitoring.
- Ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Preferred qualifications include modern front-end experience, cloud exposure, LLM integrations, agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, cross-team delivery leadership, PCI exposure, an AWS certification, and secure engineering practices.
