Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and support complex applications and databases.
- Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Integrate data sources, APIs, third-party products, and services to improve data flow and system efficiency.
- Maintain detailed backend architecture and logic documentation.
- Implement security, data protection, resilience, and enterprise architecture best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams to design backend interfaces and resolve systems issues.
- Promote automated testing, participate in design/code/test inspections, and elevate code across development, test, and production environments.
- Provide production support, submit change-control requests, document deliverables, and resolve elevated issues.
- Mentor less experienced staff and communicate technical considerations to internal clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and backend architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or a Master’s degree or diploma in Computer Science.
- Expertise in server-side development, system integration, API management, database design, optimization, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Required skills include Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Node.js, AWS, CloudFormation, ECS, Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM, SQL, GitHub, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Splunk, Honeycomb, and Python.
- Knowledge of Confluence and JIRA, with an aptitude for continuous process improvement.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and AWS Cloud is noted as additional background.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
