Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy software projects.
- Contribute to large-scale technical strategy and planning.
- Evaluate and resolve moderately complex technical challenges.
- Lead projects, serve as an escalation point, and guide less experienced staff.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve technical challenges.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers.
- Develop and maintain backend and frontend applications, event-driven integrations, automated tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with React.js and modern frontend development, including state management and responsive UI development.
- Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures with messaging and streaming platforms.
- Working knowledge of Apache Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong source control and branching strategy experience using Git.
- Experience developing automated unit tests, integration tests, and test automation frameworks.
- Experience with at least one NoSQL database such as MongoDB.
- Understanding of software design patterns, secure coding practices, and application performance optimization.
- Awareness of Python for automation, scripting, data processing, or AI/ML-related initiatives.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional distributed teams.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, Identity and Access Management, authentication, authorization, or Privileged Access Management is preferred.
