Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and improve scalable, maintainable, and performant software solutions.
- Develop and support banking applications using Oracle PL/SQL and Avaloq scripting.
- Support mission-critical complex systems with significant reliance on batch processing.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, peers, and business stakeholders to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality, knowledge sharing, secure coding, and unit testing.
- Identify business requirements and deliver solutions addressing business problems and opportunities.
- Manage risk, strengthen controls, follow relevant policies and regulations, and escalate breaches appropriately.
- Analyze information, resolve technical problems, advise stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Strong application development experience with Oracle PL/SQL in banking applications or products.
- Avaloq knowledge or experience with Avaloq or another core banking solution such as Finacle, T24, or BaNCS.
- Experience in a large IT organization and support environment for complex, mission-critical systems using multiple technologies and batch processing.
- Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Avaloq Script, UNIX, Agile Central, and SVN.
- Working knowledge of banking products and the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of banking functional modules such as securities trading, order management, settlement, corporate actions, credit, or payments is highly valued.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, ServiceNow, and Agile is advantageous.
- In-depth financial-services industry knowledge and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are valued.
