Responsibilities
- Design backend solutions for complex billing and energy-market systems.
- Scale core infrastructure for increasing transaction volumes and market requirements.
- Ship features and improvements through rapid iteration.
- Contribute to code reviews, architecture decisions, technical quality, and mentorship.
- Build and maintain billing, market communication, accounting ledger, and Stripe payment workflows.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on backend engineering experience with recent production coding and shipping.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, including asynchronous programming.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM-based data access such as Drizzle or similar tools.
- Experience building Next.js backend services using API routes or server components.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and scalable, maintainable core services.
- Experience integrating Stripe payments and billing workflows.
- Formal education or equivalent practical experience demonstrating strong computer science fundamentals.
- Evidence of exceptional technical work through projects, research, competition results, or founding experience.
- German fluency at C1 level or higher and strong communication skills.
Benefits
- Base salary of €80,000 to €120,000 annually.
- Visa sponsorship is available.
- On-site work in Berlin, Germany, five days per week.
