Responsibilities
- Participate across the software lifecycle, including requirements refinement, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational monitoring.
- Build and maintain reliable services integrating physical warehouse automation equipment with core warehouse business logic.
- Develop approximately 80% backend services and 20% frontend interfaces and internal operator tooling.
- Write clean, testable, documented software using API-first principles and modern engineering practices.
- Use developer tooling and AI coding assistants to support development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Senior Engineers, and cross-functional colleagues through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Support production services through monitoring, operational support, and incident handling to maintain high availability.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Practical experience building web applications with Vue.js, Node.js, and modern JavaScript.
- Experience developing and consuming APIs within a microservices architecture.
- Practical knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Foundational understanding of or strong interest in event-driven architecture and cloud-based message queuing systems such as Kafka.
- Practical use of AI-assisted software development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, for coding, testing, and debugging.
- Basic experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments; Kubernetes exposure is a welcome bonus.
- Experience applying unit, integration, and contract testing methods.
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills, analytical reasoning, and comfort communicating technical details in an international cross-functional team.
