Base Salary
$183k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement infrastructure capable of scaling to applications of any size and complexity.
- Improve performance, reliability, efficiency, capacity management, and data-tier scalability across backend services.
- Design and implement observability across core systems, define and implement SLOs, and build an observability platform for end users.
- Design, build, and iterate on backbone services supporting billions of requests.
- Build the workflow engine and scale the data tier for high-volume ingest, export, and workflows.
- Build next-generation cloud infrastructure and foundational services that improve reliability, scalability, and availability.
- Participate in triage and on-call processes, resolve incidents, and implement changes to prevent recurrence.
- Help foster an inclusive, effective, and collaborative engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience and current senior-level or highly experienced engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with scalable distributed systems and proficiency in Node.js, Rust, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Terraform.
- AWS experience is a plus.
- Track record of implementing and supporting solutions for complex, high-traffic applications.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with teammates and managers.
- Willingness to participate in on-call processes and diagnose and resolve reliability issues.
