ML/AI Senior Compiler Engineer

- Design and implement AI/ML compiler technologies using C++ and LLVM for high-performance inference on embedded hardware.
- Develop compiler features for ARM- and RISC-V-based CPU cores.
- Implement graph compiler passes, model lowering, fusion, tiling, scheduling, and other optimizations for AI workloads.
- Contribute to NXP-specific compiler features throughout the design, development, and deployment cycle.
- Analyze compiler-generated code with simulators, profilers, and analysis tools to improve code-generation quality.
- Collaborate with hardware architects, ML researchers, compiler architecture teams, internal tool users, and worldwide development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor-level university degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with significant exposure to Machine Learning, Edge AI, and Embedded Systems.
- 10+ years of professional experience in compiler technologies, including LLVM/MLIR, LLVM IR, Clang, the LLVM Pass Framework, optimization pipelines, code generation, and linkers.
- Experience with ML frameworks and software stacks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, MLIR, XLA, TVM, and TensorRT.
- Production-quality Python and C++ programming experience.
- Experience optimizing graph compiler passes, lowering PyTorch or TensorFlow models into efficient IR, and performing graph-level optimizations.
- Embedded systems programming experience and knowledge of compiler requirements for embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, including caches, pipelines, and instruction set architectures.
- Ability to analyze complex compiler codebases and produce concise, accurate solutions.
- Experience contributing to the open-source community and working effectively with remote, worldwide teams.
