Responsibilities

Develop external customer-facing Managed Database products.
Act as a subject matter expert on MySQL, providing performance optimization guidance.
Maintain distributed systems in a Kubernetes environment.
Author and review technical designs.
Develop APIs using Go.
Mentor engineers on best practices and conduct code reviews.
Provide last-line support for DBaaS products.
Collaborate with agile teams across various products.
Leverage technologies such as Temporal, gRPC, REST, and Docker.

6+ years of experience in agile product development.
4+ years of experience as a MySQL subject-matter expert.
Strong knowledge of microservices and container frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience building and maintaining large distributed systems.
Knowledge of resilience engineering and fault tolerance in database backends.
Strong technical communication skills.
Experience with concurrency patterns in Go.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Background in SQL and NoSQL databases.
Understanding of cloud-native database architectures.
