Responsibilities
- Build and extend a secure, stable infrastructure platform and modernize legacy infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code.
- Create self-service templates, automated deployment rails, and guardrails for production environments.
- Use AI and agentic tooling to automate workflows with human validation and automated rollback capabilities.
- Own and operate developed systems, including production support, operational runbooks, and on-call participation.
- Partner with application and product engineering teams to improve deployment processes and developer experience.
- Establish architectural practices, engineering standards, golden-path frameworks, and platform documentation.
- Mentor engineers and help evolve the organization from reactive support toward a platform engineering model.
Requirements
- Have a strong background building and operating production infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE environments, with a minimum of 2–3+ years of experience calibrated to level.
- Have hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Datadog or CloudWatch.
- Have solid coding or scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, or a similar language.
- Demonstrate an automation and toil-elimination mindset, curiosity about AI and agentic tooling, and an understanding of human-in-the-loop controls.
- Have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred qualifications include defining golden paths or platform patterns, experience with policy-as-code or governance for AI agents in production, and mentoring junior engineers.
