Responsibilities
- Coordinate application and infrastructure releases across non-production and production environments.
- Create, review, maintain, and troubleshoot reusable CI/CD workflows across repositories.
- Manage release readiness, change records, implementation plans, validation steps, rollback procedures, approvals, and release evidence.
- Assess environment health, deployment dependencies, configuration drift, and deployment performance.
- Use application monitoring, centralized logs, distributed traces, dashboards, synthetic checks, and alerts to investigate operational issues.
- Support incident investigations, maintenance windows, platform upgrades, cloud migrations, and Kubernetes delivery practices.
- Automate repetitive release and support tasks and convert incident lessons into process or automation improvements.
- Maintain release runbooks, deployment standards, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, operations, security, and platform teams and communicate release risks and outcomes.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Azure infrastructure, Terraform, and production monitoring.
- Experience supporting releases and production operations for customer-facing systems.
- Ability to safely understand and modify pipeline code and configuration created by others.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, pipelines, infrastructure, and external dependencies.
- Experience with formal change controls and implementation or maintenance windows.
- Working knowledge of GitHub Actions, Git, Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog or comparable logging platforms, Linux, Bash or Python, and Docker.
- Enough Java, Maven, and Node.js/npm knowledge to diagnose build and pipeline failures.
- Clear written and verbal communication for runbooks, change plans, incident updates, and technical defect reports.
- Useful additional experience includes Jenkins-to-GitHub Actions migrations, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, Helm, SQL Server, JMS or Kafka, regulated financial services, audit evidence, and segregation-of-duties controls.
