Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance applications by translating business requirements into technical designs, application code, UI layouts, and functioning components.
- Implement full-stack development across frontend, backend, and UI/UX components throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Create and execute unit tests, conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and remediate defects and errors.
- Design and lead complex software solutions while overseeing development quality, timeliness, performance, and scalability.
- Provide technical on-call escalation, respond to incident inquiries, and resolve system bottlenecks and reliability issues.
- Lead UI/UX enhancements by collaborating with design and development teams and incorporating user feedback.
- Mentor Associate Software Engineers and Engineer 1 colleagues, provide peer coaching, and offer technical supervision.
- Develop or maintain at least three applications and contribute to team initiatives such as GitHub, Copilot, or AWS migration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in software development, including full-stack, frontend, backend, and UI/UX engineering across the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in at least two, ideally three, programming languages and the ability to develop or maintain multiple applications.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, Angular, Microsoft Azure Functions, Microsoft Azure SQL, AWS development, and full-stack development.
- Ability to work autonomously, provide technical guidance to peers, and demonstrate business knowledge in financial services and marketing.
- Preferred qualification: 8+ years of related experience.
- Ability to participate in an evening or weekend on-call rotation.
