Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve the backend platform for chat experiences.
- Create shared APIs and services to streamline product team workflows.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and AI engineering teams.
- Improve system performance and operational quality for enterprise-grade chat.
- Mentor other engineers and enhance technical design practices.
- Develop Asana's AI Evaluation platform for reliable AI products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals and experience with distributed systems.
- Ability to navigate complex architectural boundaries and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Instincts for production quality, including observability and performance.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for system simplification.
