Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain services across the microservices ecosystem.
- Debug complex cross-service issues, trace root causes, and resolve problems through completion.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production issues.
- Collaborate with teammates and communicate technical trade-offs, decisions, and progress.
- Navigate ambiguous problems and evolving requirements to help provide clarity and direction.
- Use AI-first and AI-assisted development tools where practical.
- Address technical debt and infrastructure migrations as needed.
- Continuously improve how the team builds and operates software.
Requirements
- Proven software engineering experience at a senior level.
- Proficiency in Java, Go, and Python.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with distributed systems.
- Experience with or strong aptitude for large-scale microservice architectures.
- Comfort with on-call responsibilities and ambiguous situations.
- Openness to AI-first development practices and tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, initiative, and self-starter skills.
- BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
