Responsibilities
- Provide solutions to complex technical problems.
- Design and build reliable distributed systems that process high volumes of data with low latency.
- Maintain and support business-critical systems with a focus on scale and latency.
- Ship code to production daily using CI/CD.
- Process sensitive data securely and build security considerations into software.
- Improve XFI service scalability and reliability.
- Research security vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and monitor production environments.
- Improve user experience across Outlook desktop and OWA on Windows and Mac platforms.
- Support integrations with Microsoft, Google, and future email providers.
Requirements
- Senior-level software engineering experience is indicated by the title.
- Experience building distributed systems and handling high-volume, low-latency workloads.
- Ability to work with Python and object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience with AWS services, SQL and NoSQL databases, Terraform, Docker, CircleCI, Git, and GitHub is relevant to the team’s stack.
- Ability to work with sensitive data and build software with security in mind.
- Experience with data and infrastructure at scale is a bonus.
- Strong focus on reliability, security, service availability, experimentation, and outcome-driven decision-making.
