Responsibilities
- Own shared services and product capabilities across requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Design, build, and operate secure, highly available, multi-tenant cloud services and distributed data-processing systems.
- Drive technical delivery from customer or business need through measurable production outcomes while managing dependencies, risks, and operational gaps.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, quality gates, rollback mechanisms, observability, and incremental production rollouts.
- Define service-level objectives, metrics, dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and operational readiness practices.
- Participate in incident response and implement durable corrective actions.
- Use AI-assisted engineering and automation responsibly for development, testing, debugging, documentation, and operations.
- Provide technical leadership through design documents, code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Substantial software engineering experience with demonstrated senior-level impact in complex production environments.
- Experience designing, building, and operating scalable, highly available distributed systems and data services.
- Ability to independently lead complex technical work, make sound trade-offs, and communicate decisions clearly.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms, containers, and orchestration.
- Experience with data modeling, relational databases, performance tuning, and resilient data-processing patterns.
- Practical experience with automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, observability, incident response, and secure software delivery.
- Strong software design fundamentals, API and integration design skills, and attention to quality, operability, security, and maintainability.
- Clear written and verbal communication and effective collaboration with engineering, product, security, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Experience with Go or a comparable modern backend language and the ability to become productive in Go is desirable.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code technologies, Influx DB, Grafana, Prometheus, service-level objectives, incremental rollouts, secure software supply-chain practices, and AI-assisted engineering is desirable.
