Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery on client projects and establish standards for quality and performance.
- Design and implement robust kdb+ architectures handling billions of rows of time-series data.
- Collaborate with quants, traders, and analysts to translate business needs into performant code.
- Develop, test, support, and maintain code throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers.
- Drive innovation in kdb+, q, and adjacent technologies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on kdb+ development experience.
- Deep expertise in q and time-series data.
- Experience designing, implementing, and scaling kdb+ architectures in production.
- Strong background in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and decision-making experience.
- Experience in capital markets or investment banking.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Python, AWS, GCP, Azure, other time-series databases, tick data, real-time analytics, electronic trading systems, or people management.
