Responsibilities
- Review business requirements and technical documentation to identify testing needs.
- Perform manual testing of new and existing functionality to guide automation efforts.
- Define and improve QA strategies, test plans, quality gates, and testing ownership.
- Coordinate test responsibilities between QA and engineering teams and define coverage and acceptance criteria.
- Build and maintain automated test suites, frameworks, and test harnesses for backend, integration, and contract testing.
- Test blockchain integrations, smart contracts, REST APIs, JSON-RPC endpoints, MCP servers, and related functionality.
- Integrate and monitor automated tests within CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across distributed systems and blockchain integrations.
- Maintain test documentation, report quality risks, and communicate testing progress and blockers.
- Expand automation coverage and improve QA practices across multiple projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA/SDET roles covering manual and automated testing across the full SDLC.
- Strong backend and non-UI test automation experience, including developing, maintaining, and debugging automated tests.
- Strong programming skills for test automation, preferably with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience defining QA strategies, test plans, and quality gates from the ground up.
- Understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including wallets, transactions, and blockchain types.
- Experience testing REST APIs and RPC-based interfaces such as JSON-RPC and gRPC.
- Experience with Docker-based test environments and debugging containerized services.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establishing quality gates.
- Experience with AWS-based infrastructure and MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English proficiency.
- Desirable: experience testing blockchain systems, smart contracts, transaction flows, Layer 2 solutions, blockchain protocols, asynchronous messaging systems, Kubernetes, MCP servers, performance, and load testing.
- Desirable: experience with Go, EVM testing using Foundry or Hardhat, and reading Solidity or Rust code.
