Responsibilities
- Define and own test strategy, framework architecture, tooling roadmaps, coverage metrics, quality gates, and release-readiness reporting.
- Translate requirements into functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases and lead test plan reviews.
- Build and maintain scalable UI and API automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Use GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, and agentic workflows to generate tests, evaluate edge cases, and support self-healing test automation.
- Connect AI agents to testing tools, APIs, and data sources through Model Context Protocol and configure agent instructions, skills, and tools.
- Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins pipelines and validate backend data using SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Manage defects in Azure DevOps, lead exploratory testing and root-cause analysis, and support performance, scalability, and observability practices.
- Serve as a quality engineering lead, participate in Agile ceremonies, conduct code reviews, and coach team members on shift-left testing.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline.
- 4–7 years of software quality engineering experience, primarily in test automation and framework development for a commercial product.
- Production-quality automation experience with C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript and proficiency with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- API testing experience with REST Assured, Postman, or SoapUI; CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Strong Git and SQL skills, cross-browser testing experience with BrowserStack or equivalent, and experience validating database integrity.
- Understanding of the QA lifecycle and Agile/Iterative delivery, with the ability to communicate test strategies and quality summaries to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with performance engineering, scalability design, and production observability including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Hands-on AWS experience including Lambda, ECS, RDS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
- Practical daily use of AI coding assistants and ability to create effective prompts and system instructions.
- Understanding of AI agents, skills, tool-calling, and Model Context Protocol; familiarity with an LLM API or orchestration framework such as Anthropic API or LangChain is a strong plus.
- Preferred experience includes JMeter, k6, OWASP ZAP, Cucumber, Reqnroll, Docker, Kubernetes, Visual Studio, the Microsoft development ecosystem, cloud test environment provisioning, infrastructure as code, and ISTQB certification or equivalent.
