Base Salary
$159k - $254k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead complex software engineering initiatives for fixed-income trading technology.
- Design, develop, test, and implement real-time user interfaces, applications, system components, tools, utilities, models, simulations, and analytics.
- Resolve technically challenging coding, testing, and escalated platform issues.
- Monitor systems, improve operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and identify opportunities to improve processes and resource utilization.
- Define and influence architecture for scalable, high-performance trading applications.
- Mentor less experienced software engineers and collaborate with professionals and managers across the organization.
- Partner effectively with production support and platform engineering teams.
- Lead compliance and risk management activities for the supported area.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of specialty software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 5 years of experience with HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
- At least 5 years of experience with TypeScript.
- At least 5 years of experience with Angular or React.
- At least 5 years of experience with JSON, REST, and XML.
- Preferred experience with Apache Tomcat, IIS, or NGINX deployment and support.
- Preferred experience with automated UI testing and performance testing using Selenium and browser developer tools.
- Preferred knowledge of fixed-income products, trading workflows, bond pricing, risk, P&L, position management, trade lifecycle processes, and end-of-day valuation.
- Preferred experience building and supporting real-time interfaces with streaming or event-driven technologies.
- Preferred experience with desktop interoperability and container frameworks such as OpenFin, Glue42, or Finsemble.
