Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable frontend applications using React, TypeScript, AG Grid, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Build reusable UI component libraries and integrate them with Storybook.
- Deliver end-to-end features by integrating frontend applications with Python/Django APIs and backend systems.
- Deploy production applications in Azure using GitHub Actions and Azure services.
- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks affecting scalability and responsiveness.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms across applications and environments.
- Write maintainable, testable code and contribute to unit testing, engineering standards, and best practices.
- Use SQL, Azure Databricks, PySpark, and related data workflows to deliver data-driven functionality.
- Document architecture decisions and communicate technical trade-offs and implementation details to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, business, and risk-management stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Own deliverables and ensure timely, high-quality completion independently and within teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience with JavaScript and frontend application development.
- Strong experience building production-grade user interfaces with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably React.
- Advanced TypeScript and frontend architecture experience.
- Hands-on AG Grid experience, including server-side data processing, filtering, and performance tuning.
- Experience maintaining shared UI component libraries and design systems using Storybook.
- Proficiency with Node.js, Vite, and npm workspaces or monorepos.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Exposure to Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and container-based deployments.
- Familiarity with Azure Databricks, PySpark, data pipelines, and analytics workflows.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and querying.
- Understanding of application security, authentication, and authorization practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to document and present technical decisions.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering and business teams and work independently in complex environments.
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools is desirable.
- Knowledge of financial services and risk management is highly desirable.
