Base Salary
$159k - $254k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead complex software engineering initiatives and guide teams toward technical, risk, compliance, and business objectives.
- Design and develop low-latency eTrading, pricing, and risk applications for fixed-income asset classes.
- Build real-time HTTP and WebSocket micro UIs using JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, and AgGrid.
- Develop backend services using Java, Spring Framework, Kafka, and Apache Ignite.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and implement applications, system components, models, simulations, and analytics.
- Create test data and conduct interface and unit testing, including resolving coding, testing, and platform issues.
- Monitor systems, improve operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and support production applications.
- Collaborate with production support, platform engineering, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor less experienced software engineers and lead risk and compliance initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of specialty software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 3 years of capital markets fixed-income domain experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with bond pricing, bond risk, bond PnL, and position management.
- At least 3 years of high-performance programming experience using Java or Python.
- At least 3 years of full-stack development experience with Angular/TypeScript and Java with Spring Framework.
- At least 3 years of Apache Kafka experience for messaging and stream processing.
- Preferred experience includes OpenShift, Kubernetes, cloud-native microservices, Selenium, Chrome DevTools, Apache Ignite, Maven or Gradle, SonarQube, and monitoring or observability tools.
- Preferred qualifications include 5+ years with Kafka, Apache Ignite, build tools, code-quality tools, full-stack development, and observability platforms.
