Base Salary
$159k - $305k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the RIA platform’s architecture, design patterns, technical vision, and engineering standards.
- Design and build platform components using Java, Spring Boot, and React.js.
- Lead backend services, APIs, frontend frameworks, and complex third-party integrations supporting custody workflows.
- Implement fault tolerance, circuit breaking, graceful degradation, observability, resiliency, scalability, and performance best practices.
- Ensure secure, scalable, compliant integrations for multi-tenant and multi-channel use cases.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and raise engineering maturity and technical depth.
- Partner with product, security, and enterprise architecture stakeholders and influence technical direction across teams.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 5 years of Java and Spring Boot experience.
- At least 4 years of React.js, Apache, and Kafka experience.
- At least 4 years of MongoDB, relational databases, and caching technologies experience.
- At least 4 years of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud-native platforms experience.
- At least 4 years of resiliency, scalability, and performance engineering experience.
- Preferred experience building platforms for wealth management, custody, trading, or advisory businesses.
- Preferred experience using AI-powered developer tooling such as code generation, review, and test creation.
- Preferred experience serving as a technical lead across multiple teams or product areas.
