Responsibilities
- Capture business requirements and develop complete functional, technical, security, and resilience solution architectures.
- Collaborate with Tech Leaders, Product Owners, local Solution Architects, and architecture disciplines on robust end-to-end solutions.
- Identify architecture gaps, evaluate trade-offs, and define alternatives and innovations.
- Advise business stakeholders on technology decisions that maximize product value and customer outcomes.
- Govern initiatives through development, deployment, and post-production implementation.
- Analyze and simplify Solution Architecture operating frameworks to improve internal efficiency.
- Participate actively in the global, local, and business-unit Solution Architect community.
- Travel occasionally as project needs require.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the Ether/NextGen platform and modern public- and private-cloud architectures.
- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, event-driven architectures, and AI model integration.
- Ability to design resilient, secure, and scalable solutions on complex infrastructure.
- Strategic business vision and understanding of banking application functional landscapes.
- Ability to integrate and apply AI tools to improve daily work and area productivity.
- Strong communication, negotiation, collaborative leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Banking knowledge in areas such as payments and collections, electronic banking, cash management, customer onboarding, payment methods, commercial offerings, open banking, and international transaction operations is valued.
- Experience participating in global or multi-country digital and technology transformation projects, particularly within BBVA, is valued.
- Skills in functional designs, RESTful APIs, and technical designs.
