Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, document, and maintain reliable software solutions and inner-loop developer tools.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review, debug, and improve code written by others.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and production issues.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap discussions.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and support enterprise desktop software configuration, packaging, and distribution across Mac, Linux, and Windows.
- Lead communities of practice, mentor junior engineers, and promote continuous improvement.
- Guide the effective and responsible use of AI-assisted software development tools, including validation for correctness, performance, security, and compliance.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java or Go.
- Experience with automation, continuous delivery, RESTful API design and development, and software development tooling.
- Understanding of enterprise desktop software configuration, operating-system policies, software packaging, and distribution at global scale.
- Experience leading safe and compliant adoption of AI-assisted software development tools.
- Preferred: financial services IT knowledge; Kubernetes, container management, and Terraform experience; understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and the software development life cycle.
