Base Salary
$197k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain the full-stack platform across React.js frontend applications and Node.js backend services.
- Lead technical decisions and initiatives spanning frontend, backend, performance, maintainability, and engineering best practices.
- Design, develop, and optimize GraphQL and REST APIs for frontend applications and third-party integrations.
- Improve database design, indexing, caching, query performance, and data retrieval efficiency.
- Enhance the Material-UI design system and UI components.
- Implement observability through logging, monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Define and enforce frontend and backend testing strategies using Jest and React Testing Library.
- Work with QA engineering to deliver high-precision, well-tested software.
- Mentor and coach engineers through technical design reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Communicate and collaborate with engineering, product, customers, partners, and other leaders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on full-stack development using modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Deep expertise in React.js and scalable frontend architecture with state management.
- Strong Node.js backend development experience, including GraphQL APIs with Apollo or Relay and RESTful services.
- Proficiency with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar systems.
- Experience with frontend and backend performance optimization, database indexing, caching, and frontend rendering strategies.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and real-time data processing.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience working in CI/CD environments and automated deployments.
- Prior knowledge of Python or the ability to learn it quickly is preferred.
- Track record of mentoring and coaching engineers.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
