Base Salary
$187k - $268k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, monitor, scale, and upgrade resilient distributed data platforms across AWS and private cloud environments.
- Lead infrastructure automation and cloud engineering initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
- Drive capacity planning, performance optimization, regional-outage recovery, and reliability improvements for high-throughput production systems.
- Implement automated backups, security patching, and incident management workflows.
- Advise application teams on data access patterns, cloud architecture, and migration strategies.
- Lead technical projects through task estimation, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of hands-on experience with distributed databases such as CassandraDB, OpenSearch, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
- 5+ years of experience managing AWS infrastructure at scale and supporting live, customer-facing SaaS production environments.
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure automation and DevOps practices, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Python.
- 3+ years of experience leading technical projects, including estimation, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication.
- Must be a U.S. Person and, where applicable, able to perform work restricted to U.S. citizens on U.S. soil.
- Preferred experience includes modern data platforms, data pipelines, streaming, AI/ML and GenAI workloads, Java/Python data-driven applications, data access patterns, and regulated U.S. Federal environments.
