Responsibilities
- Assess technical challenges and co-create architectures focused on performance and scalability.
- Design and evolve architectures for massive AI-based executions, including concurrency, distributed processing, response times, infrastructure costs, observability, and production stability.
- Design and implement backend APIs and services integrating multiple systems across the Mercado Libre ecosystem.
- Perform estimates and impact analyses while ensuring execution quality.
- Work in high-traffic and high-availability environments.
- Provide technical direction on a project integrating AI, simulation, and distributed backend components.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, UX professionals, and other technical teams.
Requirements
- Experience designing and developing scalable APIs and backend services.
- Knowledge of engineering practices including SOLID, TDD, design patterns, and clean architecture.
- Knowledge of code versioning and engineering practices involving CI/CD, Git, AWS, and GCP.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Interest or experience with LLMs, AI integrations, or frontend tools such as React.js, Nordic, and Andes is desirable.
