Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend systems for ingesting and processing health record data from EHRs and third-party health platforms.
- Build and support data pipelines that clean, normalize, and structure health record data.
- Develop and maintain secure, scalable APIs and services for internal systems and member-facing features.
- Apply data privacy, security, and access-control best practices when handling sensitive health data.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to develop health insights and capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience building backend systems and APIs in production environments.
- Experience with Java or similar backend technologies, relational databases such as Postgres, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS.
- Familiarity with data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and validation of structured or semi-structured data.
- Understanding of API design principles.
- Exposure to healthcare data standards such as FHIR and CDA or to integrating external health data sources.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down technical tasks and deliver iteratively.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
- Commitment to using AI tools in day-to-day work while maintaining high-quality standards.
