Base Salary
$195k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and iterate on high-throughput, low-latency recommendation systems for core feeds
- Improve retrieval, ranking, and multi-objective optimization for engagement, retention, content quality, and business metrics
- Own systems across offline training, online inference, A/B experimentation, and metric analysis
- Identify and resolve data-quality, model-drift, and production system-performance issues
- Apply LLMs and foundation models to content understanding, user intent modeling, feature generation, and recommendation problems
- Prototype, validate, and productionize successful AI and LLM ideas
- Use AI-assisted workflows for coding, debugging, analysis, feature ideation, prototyping, and experiment analysis
- Contribute to 0-to-1 AI-powered projects from early exploration through MVP and production
Requirements
- At least 3 years of industry experience building machine learning or recommendation systems in production
- Strong understanding of recommendation-system fundamentals, including ranking, embeddings, user/item modeling, and experimentation
- Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience with large-scale data and machine learning systems, such as Spark, distributed training, or real-time inference
- Ability to own features end to end and deliver measurable business impact
- Production experience applying AI or LLMs to recommendation systems is a plus
- Experience contributing to 0-to-1 AI or ML-driven products is a plus
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows is a plus
