Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex software components and solutions across multiple systems.
- Translate complex product requirements into software designs and collaborate with technical personnel to finalize requirements.
- Write and review detailed specifications, complete complex bug fixes, and resolve technical issues.
- Design and work with complex data models and multiple data storage subsystems.
- Execute quality engineering strategy, improve testing design, and enhance development process standards.
- Implement coding best practices, code reviews, and development processes.
- Mentor and train entry-level and less-senior software engineers.
- Collaborate with internal and external technology resources and keep current with technology developments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies and industry development best practices.
- Strong proficiency with data manipulation language and optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of normalized and dimensional data modeling principles.
- Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
- Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, AWS cloud technologies, microservices, and RDBMS systems.
- Experience with Redis or Valkey caching systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of test-driven development and applicable software tool sets.
- Ability to write and review detailed specifications and collaborate effectively with technical personnel and stakeholders.
