Base Salary
$80k - $133k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, enhance, and validate REST APIs for geospatial workflows in ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Develop and execute functional, integration, automation, and performance tests for API capabilities.
- Advocate for users and developers by ensuring APIs are intuitive, consistent, secure, scalable, and aligned with customer workflows.
- Participate in project planning, scope definition, timelines, and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate REST API feature updates and changes with engineering, documentation, support, and product teams.
- Certify REST API features before product release.
- Write and maintain API reference documentation, samples, and developer-facing guidance.
- Present REST API features, design decisions, release readiness, and best practices to internal and external audiences.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience designing, testing, and validating RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of REST, web services, HTTP concepts, authentication, and security.
- Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, or similar geospatial technology.
- Ability to write clear, accurate, developer-friendly technical documentation.
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills, with attention to detail and ownership of product quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
- Preferred experience with cloud platforms and services such as Amazon S3, SQS, EC2, and Azure.
- Preferred experience with API test automation frameworks, performance testing, and presenting technical topics.
