Base Salary
$141k - $169k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve the resiliency, reliability, security, and delivery of critical applications supporting Schwab’s investment advisor platform.
- Design scalable solutions, improve deployment strategies, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and support technology across complex environments.
- Automate software delivery and engineering operations using DevOps practices, CI/CD, cloud technologies, PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Integrate software quality and security tools into engineering workflows.
- Develop automated deployment pipelines for multi-region public cloud environments and apply Pipeline as Code and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and technology teams; produce technical design documentation; and mentor teams in effective CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Real-world DevOps and CI/CD experience using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Bamboo.
- Experience integrating tools such as SonarQube, Veracode, Black Duck, or CodeQL into engineering workflows.
- Working knowledge of microservices and Blue/Green, Canary, and Big Bang deployment strategies.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux and Windows environments, with familiarity with Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, or similar database technologies.
- Preferred experience with multi-region public cloud deployments, especially Google Cloud Platform, as well as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Preferred experience with Terraform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AI-enabled engineering tools, and financial services.
