Responsibilities
- Understand customer and user requirements for feature sets with internal stakeholders.
- Design test strategies, execute test plans, and build testable code.
- Automate production deployments and pursue zero-touch deployment where possible.
- Apply and review coding patterns, security risks, and compliance issues during code reviews.
- Apply security practices to harden product features.
- Design, develop, deploy, and operate scalable data, analytics, automation, and tooling solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree and 3+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with SQL scripting, Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, and Azure cloud services.
- Experience with data engineering workflows such as data pipelines, ETL, SQL transformations, Spark jobs, partitioning strategies, or schema evolution.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and technologies including Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, or Cognitive Services.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and programming concepts for solving complex technical problems.
- Understanding of version control systems such as Git and DevOps practices.
- Experience with code quality, testing, monitoring, logging, alerting, telemetry, and maintainability practices.
- Ability to provide technical feedback and contribute to AI, Azure, data platform, or Power Platform solutions.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, navigate differing perspectives, and consider stakeholder needs and sensitivities.
