Base Salary
$90k - $115k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain data-driven software applications using Python and modern frameworks.
- Build scalable API-based solutions with FastAPI, Django, and Flask.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory, Fabric, PySpark, and related technologies.
- Build event-driven and serverless solutions using Azure Functions and Azure Event Hub.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions and author and review technical design documentation.
- Collaborate with product owners, product managers, designers, QA partners, and engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, validation, and technical issue resolution.
- Optimize applications, data solutions, and legacy SQL stored procedures for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Use GitHub workflows to support code reviews, automated quality checks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Write unit and integration tests and contribute to continuous improvement of development tools and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering or data engineering roles.
- Strong Python proficiency and experience developing API-based solutions with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Synapse, ETL tools such as SSIS, and stored procedures.
- Experience with PySpark, Databricks, or other Spark-based frameworks for large-scale data processing.
- Strong SQL and T-SQL knowledge and experience with SQL Server or similar relational databases.
- Understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, and data transformation best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms; Azure is preferred, while AWS or GCP is a plus.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for deploying data solutions.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative coding workflows.
- Ability to write unit and integration tests and work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills for explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Healthcare experience, particularly with authorization or prior-authorization workflows, is a strong plus.
