Base Salary
$90k - $115k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain data-driven software applications using Python and modern frameworks.
- Build and optimize scalable API solutions using FastAPI, Django, and Flask.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, and related technologies.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions and author and review technical design documentation.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA partners, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, validation, and performance and scalability optimization.
- Modernize existing systems, including tuning legacy SQL stored procedures.
- Use GitHub workflows to support CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and automated quality checks.
- Write unit and integration tests and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering or data engineering roles.
- Strong Python proficiency and experience developing API-based solutions with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Synapse, ETL tools such as SSIS, and stored procedures.
- Experience with PySpark, Databricks, or other Spark-based frameworks for large-scale data processing.
- Strong understanding of SQL, T-SQL, data modeling, data pipelines, and data transformation.
- Experience with Azure, with AWS or GCP experience as a plus.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for deploying data solutions.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative coding workflows.
- Ability to write unit and integration tests and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Healthcare experience, especially with authorization or prior-authorization workflows, is a strong plus.
