Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly available, massively scaled CloudWatch systems.
- Develop telemetry collection agents in Rust and Go for gathering metrics, logs, and traces.
- Engage with upstream open-source communities and contribute to projects such as OpenTelemetry.
- Expand services across AWS Regions and investigate root causes of production issues.
- Implement corrective fixes, maintain service quality, and support reliable operations.
- Mentor junior engineers and help grow the team's technical capability.
- Use GenAI and AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity.
Requirements
- Professional non-internship software development experience.
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Strong programming skills in at least two of Rust, Go, Java, C++, and Python.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: open-source enthusiasm and contributions, such as a GitHub portfolio or contributions to OpenTelemetry.
