Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performance cloud-based security services.
- Design and maintain microservices using containerized and serverless architectures.
- Build software across cloud backend and frontend technologies using relational and NoSQL databases.
- Own development activities, make technical decisions, and guide execution across complex projects.
- Perform software design, documentation, unit testing, code reviews, security work, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Mentor junior engineers and help teammates improve software delivery practices.
- Collaborate with product management and customer support to understand customer feedback and needs.
- Apply test-driven design, automation, secure coding, monitoring, software quality, and open-source compliance practices.
- Contribute to responsible use of Cursor AI and other AI-assisted development tools.
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams using asynchronous communication across cultures and time zones.
Requirements
- Significant professional software engineering experience in a technology environment using agile practices.
- Strong full-stack technical skills with Python as a principal programming language.
- Experience building and deploying large-scale, high-performance cloud-based services.
- Experience with cloud backend and frontend technologies and AWS.
- Experience with secure coding, software engineering discipline, test-driven design, unit testing, automation, monitoring, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with microservices architecture, including containerized and serverless services.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies.
- Ability to take ownership, make technical decisions, guide execution, mentor engineers, and collaborate effectively.
- Strong analytical, logical, communication, teamwork, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with Cursor AI and other AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
