Responsibilities
- Architect, secure, and maintain the root configuration, tenancy guardrails, and system integrity of core enterprise platforms.
- Design and improve workforce identity, access management, device trust, and endpoint controls using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Manage platform configuration, identity policies, and system state through pull requests, tested CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, branch protections, and peer review.
- Own joiner, mover, and leaver identity lifecycle workflows, including HRIS-to-identity integrations, provisioning rules, group structures, and downstream access.
- Build reusable modules, administrative tooling, standard operating procedures, and runbooks for safe delegated support and provisioning.
- Own the baseline architecture of office networks across the Melbourne hub and satellite locations.
- Provide technical leadership across Infrastructure and Identity in partnership with Security, Enterprise Architecture, Automation, and Workplace Technology.
Requirements
- Strong systems-thinking, architecture, and resilience skills across identity, SaaS, and network architectures.
- Sound judgment in defining boundaries between foundational platform engineering and delegated Workplace Technology operations.
- A strong anti-ClickOps approach that favors code, automation, reusable modules, and reduced configuration drift.
- Ability to turn complex infrastructure into safe tooling, clear runbooks, and least-privilege operating models.
- Collaborative technical leadership skills and a player-coach approach spanning engineering strategy and practical IT operations.
- Pragmatic security and risk judgment that balances corporate perimeter controls with a productive employee experience.
